Tim Lovett
Board Chair
Tim is married to his wife of 35 years Deborah Lovett and they live in Centerville, Ohio in Yankee Trace. They have two children and five grandchildren under the age of three!
After attending two years at Eastern Kentucky University, he transferred to Cumberland University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree BA in Physical Education and a minor in Special Education. He began his career in the recruiting and search industry the same year he graduated in 1978, working for a firm in Cincinnati. In 1988 Tim founded Lovett Executive Search in Dayton, Ohio specializing nationally in finding leadership and executive roles for privately held, mid-size and public traded companies. Tim has been ranked nationally as one of the top five leading recruiters for privately held search firms six times in his career.
Currently Tim is the Board Chair for the Therapeutic Riding Institute-TRI. He is an active community member having previously served on numerous policy and charitable boards. Tim has authored numerous articles related to culturally based assessments, search, interviewing techniques, and has been published in trade journals and national publications. He currently volunteers his service to small local charitable organizations on qualifying, interviewing, and retaining top candidates.
Tim has a passion to use “horses” God’s special gift to us all, to help achieve physical, occupational, and relational harmony. His background in special education and as an experienced equestrian has been the perfect match for him and TRI. Henceforth, Perfect is the name of his horse used by TRI today for therapeutic riding. Tim is also known as the horse whisperer and a cowboy by his wife!
